A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career in accountancy, working towards an internationally recognised qualification (AAT Accounting Diplomas) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm in Leeds.
The opportunity
You will start your career with us by undertaking an Apprenticeship with us. This is a great opportunity to get an insight into the world of an Audit, Tax and Accounting business whilst starting your journey to becoming a chartered accountant. You will work from our offices in central Leeds and also visit client sites servicing some of Yorkshire’s leading SME businesses.
You will learn about the preparation of financial accounts, interpretation of financial data and accounting and tax legislation. Equally as importantly you will learn how to work effectively in a team, how to build strong and lasting professional relationships and also how to deliver exceptional client service. This is a diverse role and you need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and have a willingness to learn.
Your career development progression with us will be rapid. You will:
- Benefit from working in our small, close-knit, supportive, and high performing team of like-minded individuals who will coach you on a daily basis in all aspects of your role.
- Receive bespoke formal training appropriate to your progression.
- Get responsibility early in your career.
- Work with an extensive variety of clients in a range of different industries with footprints in Yorkshire, the UK and across the globe.
Successful candidates for this role will be personable and hard-working. As well taking your first steps in a great career you will find your role with us to be enjoyable and fun – everyone within the team is warm, sociable and supportive – you will work with people that stay friends for your entire career.
Your apprenticeship will comprise the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) and the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting (Level 4). We provide you with meaningful support as you undertake your exam training and the exams themselves. Whilst we want you to progress rapidly in your career, equally we will only enter you for exams when you are properly prepared.
After you achieve your AAT qualifications you will continue to build your career with us and take on greater levels of responsibility. Individuals who show strong aptitude for audit, tax and accounting will have the opportunity to extend their apprenticeship to Level 7 and work towards an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant qualification.
